Today I was dealing with my struggle of focused attention and focused energy which brought on feelings of frustration and stress. Sometimes it’s the unseen obstacles that hurt us the most. The ones we forget are there and slowly eat away at our time, energy and eventually our money.
Every time I find myself losing focus or my drive to achieve my goal, I sit back and try to clearly envision exactly why I’m doing this…
- Why is this so important to me?
- Why am I doing all of this in the first place?
- Why must I continue building this business or improving myself?
Your ‘Why’ is the engine driving your plan of action towards your goals. It’s the fuel that burns your desire and passion to succeed.
Consider Blake Mycoskie, and american traveler who befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their little feet.
He really wanted to help them, so he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need.
One for One
Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by caring TOMS customers.
Blake’s WHY was so big he couldn’t help but make it a reality. He incorporated giving into his equation and that made his WHY even bigger.
Don’t take my word for it, see for yourself in this touching video…

Why for Why
There’s a Chinese proverb that goes “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” and hearing this as a child planted the seed for my ‘Why’.
I’ve always wanted to help people overcome their fears, they’re obstacles, their vices or anything holding them back from living a happy, healthy and wealthy existence.
See I grew up in a home where both of my parents drank alcohol pretty heavily, used drugs and didn’t always have words of encouragement for me when I came home from school. By the time my parents divorced, I had started high school and using drugs was a religion.
By all statistics given to me from elementary school to college I should be either dead or in jail…
Fortunately, I’m blessed with life after death and didn’t allow my passed to get in the way of my future. Desiring a different life, I joined the Navy after my 21st birthday and began my transformation.
Belief
We must believe in ourselves if we’re ever going to change completely. We must believe that life can be different and that we can accomplish any goal, overcome any obstacle and concur any fear!
I’m not talking about hope here, I’m talking about faith backed by desire. The same way we believe the sun will rise tomorrow, the seasons will change and the tides will come in, we must believe in our ability to evolve mentally, spiritually and physically.
I’ve discovered a very easy to use system for gradual and lasting change so simple a child could use. It’s called Simpleology by Mark Joyner and it has worked wonders on my business and personal life.
It’s free so give it a try and learn how to take control of your destiny one day at a time.
Much Love,
Frankie Hayward
